PHAI’s Executive Director, Mark Gottlieb was featured on Radio Boston where he discussed the recent bylaw in Brookline, Massachusetts that was introduced in 2020 and was just recently upheld by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
The ban on tobacco in Brookline, MA for those born on or after January 1st, 2000 is a first-in-the-nation law that hopes to inspire other states to do the same. The preservation of our future generations health should be at the forefront of all lawmakers
[Brookline] decided that they were going stop tobacco sales with the next generation, not affecting anybody who currently can buy tobacco products, but for the next generation.
