Dick Daynard, President of PHAI, recently was featured in Audie Cornish’s podcast “The Assignment” on CNN. The episode, titled “Is Online Gambling a Public Health Threat?” addresses a question we firmly support at PHAI.
We contend that gambling poses a significant threat to public health. Despite this, legislative efforts predominantly focus on legalizing sports betting in states yet to do so, neglecting the health risks associated with gambling addiction. PHAI remains committed to prioritizing public health concerns amidst these developments.
